2205 Stainless Steel Powder
2205 also is called as 1.4462 (often designated as X2CrNiMoN22-5-3) in DIN/EN grade.
2205 duplex stainless steel powder is a high-performance metal powder from the 2205 alloy, which consists of a balanced dual-phase microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. Its typical chemical composition includes 22% chromium, 5% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and small amounts of nitrogen and other elements.
2205 has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion comparable to conventional 304 or 316 austenitic stainless steels.
It is suitably used in additive manufacturing (3D printing) and thermal spraying of components for marine, chemical processing, oil & gas, and desalination industries.
Normally our 2205 powders are produced by gas atomization with spherical morphology and good flowability and packing density.
