15-5PH also is called as Nr. 1.4545 (DIN EN X5CrNiCu15-5) or UNS S15500.
15-5PH is a martensitic, precipitation-hardening stainless steel with high strength and hardness through a single-step aging heat treatment and improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking and better transverse impact strength than 17-4PH.
15-5PH powder produced by gas atomization, but also can by PREP for better sphericity and lower hollow particles, typically is used in additive manufacturing, particularly Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and electron bean melting.
Its As-printed parts can be further strengthened by aging to reach tensile strength exceeding 1400MPa and hardness up to 48HRC.
