304L also is called as 1.4307 (often designated as X2CrNi18-9) in DIN/EN grade.

304L stainless steel powder is a low-carbon variation of 304 Austenitic stainless steel, widely used in powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing (3D printing), metal injection molding (MIM) and thermal spraying. Low carbon improves weldability and prevents intergranular corrosion. But it is less resistant to chlorides than 316L. Its maximum service temperature is 870℃ for continuous use with oxidation resistance.

It can be produced by gas atomization or water atomization for different applications.
