The German equivalent to SCM415 steel is 15CrMo5 (Material Number 1.7262). It is a versatile low alloy Cr-Mo steel, primarily used in case-hardening applications due to its excellent surface hardening ability, while maintaining a tough core.

SCM415 can reach a hardness up to 229HB in As-annealed status of LPBF parts. It can be used in the processes of LPBF, SLM, DED, MIM and also HIP.

Our SCM415 powder is produced by gas atomization process or PREP process to get a spherical morphology that provides good flow characteristics and high packing density. The common particle size range includes 0-25um, 15-45um, 15-53um, 20-63um, 45-105um or 53-150um.
